It all started back in September 2021: Liverpool’s Champions League group stage opponents were set. Some familiar faces in Porto and Atlético, but a even more familiar one in AC Milan.
A fantastic fixture awaited by all football fans across Europe and, for obvious reasons, the press couldn’t stop talking about it. Cue Neil Jones, GOAL‘s Liverpool FC correspondent. He got in touch with us to arrange a meeting in Milan, but unfortunately that never happened for multiple reasons.
Nevertheless, you all should know Neil by now: a few weeks ago we invited him to one of our live streams to discuss about LFC’s transfers and what could happen in the future. A great 1h30m chat which us at OLSC Italy will remember for a long time.
From then on, it all escalated quickly: Liverpool are travelling to Milan — this time, Inter is their opponent — for the first leg of the Champions League’s Round of 16. To mark the occasion, Neil interviewed some of our members for an article; which came out this Tuesday morning.
President Nunzio Esposito, vicepresident Andrea Ciccotosto, senior graphic designer Benedetta Tello and the legendary Mario Djuninski were interviewed — they were asked about how their passion for Liverpool started and their history with OLSC Italy.
